Jr was introduced to the racing world by Tony Martinez (#25 Late model) & Bo

Martinez(#25 Modified) while dating Tony's daughter Alicia in 1997 and were later married in 2003. Jr helped pit for Bo and Tony for a full year at duke city before racing in a mechanics race in Bo's modified. He was hooked from there!

This year is the first full year jr has raced in the hobby stock division.

Jr partly raced the second to last yr at duke city in the hobby division in a 78' plymouth voloree. Jr also races the #26 El Camino in the cruiser class. Jr really found the knack for racing when he entered various enduro races held at duke city including the very last race ever held at duke city which was an enduro. Jr is now racing an 81' Chevy Camaro #24 hobby which was bought from Harold Harter. The car was built by Ronnie Leathem Sr. and Jr.

Jr gets his much needed help from his father Emilio and the shop they run and own called A&E Auto Sales & Repair where Jr has worked since graduating Albuquerque high school in 1999.
