Born: Lowell, Massachusetts Residence: Rio Rancho, New Mexico

 

David Gay graduated from Groton High School in Massachusetts. He began racing in 1980, racing street stocks on pavement in Massachusetts for 4 years. In 1985 he raced motocross until he was injured in 1992.

 

In 2006, David traded two motocross bike for a 600cc mini sprint that needed rebuilding. David spent the next two months putting it back together before joining the mini sprint association.

 

The 2007 season was filled with a few rookie mistake crashes and a win in a heat race. At the end of the 2007 season, David had finished 7th in pints with the modified midget association and 6th in points at Hollywood Hills Speedway. There, he received rookie of the year honors, as well as most improved driver of the year from the modified midget association of New Mexico.

 

David has recently purchased a second car, which he hopes will be faster than his last ride, and he his looking forward to the 2008 season.
