Colt Treharn
(information provided by William Jewell) Colt Treharn turned 18 in May. He has been racing for 10 years. He started at the age of 8 racing go carts. A few years later a group of Albuquerque racers went to Arizona and saw the quarter midgets. They came back to Alb and started a group of quarter midgets. I know that Troy Treharn and Manny Ortega were two of the people that helped to get this started. Colt Treharn and Derik Ortega both came up through the quarter midgets. They raced and won many national events.
Colt then moved up to Street Stocks and was allowed to race at the age of 13. He finished 2nd in his first main event in a street stock. His next step was Barrnett Modified, then on to non wing sprints. Colt claimed third in New Mexico's wingless Sprint Car points in 2007. His ASCS debut came in last year's ASCS Rocky Mountain Region season finale, where he earned a ninth-place finish. 2008 brings Colt to the ASCS Rocky Mountain Division. He has raced all of the ASCS rocky mtn divison races through 6-28-08. Colt has run in two ACSC national events; one at Devils Bowl Speedway, Mesquite Tx. March 14-15 2008 and one at State Fair speedway in Oklahoma City, OK March 21-22 2008.
In the two national events, Colt got to run against names like Danny Lasoski, Daryn Pittman, Tony Bruce Jr., and Gary Wright.
