Cody has been racing go-karts since the age of 5 at Harvey Caplin Memorial Speedway through Albuquerque Speedway Karting.

In 2007 his accomplishments were as follows:

3rd Place Speedway Grand Nationals, Iowa

IKF Region 4A (NM, CO, West TX) Champion

New Mexico State Champion

Arizona Karting Association Holiday Classic Champion

In 2008 he became the IKF Grand National Champion - the first ever New Mexico go-karter to win the championship on an out-of-state track.  He was featured on Channel 7 and the Rio Rancho Observer.  Most recently, he was chosen as the July 2008 Athlete of the Month by the Rio Rancho Chamber of Commerce.

In 2009 he plans on racing Mini Sprints at Hollywood Hills and go-karts all around the country.
